The NZAPEP sector AWARDS
The NZAPEP Sector Awards are designed to showcase the achievements of the private tertiary sector. The Awards Dinner is an occasion to focus attention on outstanding people and achievements in the private tertiary sector and to celebrate our successes in the public domain. For this reason all nominations that have been accepted may be made public. It is also an event by means of which NZAPEP wants to highlight member organisations and therefore for all nominations the name of the provider involved with the nomination will specifically be mentioned. The awards are to be based on achievements for the 12 months 1 January to 31 December 2009. nzapep - cengage learning AWARDS

It is with great pleasure that NZAPEP welcomes a new sponsor for the Leadership Award – LH Martin Institute for Higher Education Leadership and Management The LH Martin Institute has been established to enhance tertiary education in Australia and New Zealand by providing a suite of programs and activities focused on institutional management and leadership and tailored to the particular needs of the sector. Tertiary education is a complex and rapidly changing environment in which to lead and manage – one in which a strong understanding of both the nature of tertiary organisations and the policy environment in which they operate is crucial to success. Within this context, the LH Martin Institute aims to contribute to the leadership and management development of current and aspiring leaders so that institutions may fulfil their missions more successfully. This category could include nominees from management, campus heads, administrators, or marketers that have excelled in performance, participation and achievements during the past 12 months in leadership, or any aspect of management in tertiary education. Through this category NZAPEP wants to recognise exceptional leadership in the business of private tertiary education. Growth in student numbers, student satisfaction, increased profitability, full accreditation and registration achievements, the establishment of new campus buildings, etc. can all be used as nomination material. This year’s recipient of The LH Martin Institute Leadership Award will receive a scholarship to attend an executive education short course together with a cash prize. NominationsNominations for all awards will be accepted from financial NZAPEP member organisations only. A member organisation may nominate any number of people in any category. Any additional documentation or evidence supporting a nomination should be submitted in hard copy. If a person is nominated it might be wise to include a CV as well.
